Probably not cis, if you ask me
Questioning if they are cis
This reads to me like "I'm not comfortable with the idea of being either cis or trans and I'm happier with the concept that I'm nonbinary. BUT I FEEL better on HRT."
As an outsider who doesn't know how the LGBTQ crowd defines "nonbinary," I would say it's not unreasonable to see all trans people as "nonbinary" -- as someone failing to be one hundred percent either male or female.
For MY purposes as a weirdo with an incredibly stupid pointless HOBBY of spouting off on a completely untrafficked blog: if you NEED hormones from "the opposite sex" to feel good and be healthy, you have a sex hormone syndrome of some sort that maybe future generations will sort out the details of.
We currently seem to call that "trans" but future generations may have other language for it.
And like I don't care AT ALL about how you want to DRESS or gender presentation.
I'm cis but not exactly heterosexual and spent stupid amounts of time trying to sort out what language I want to use for talking about that.
I don't feel bisexual really works because I feel like that suggests I'm equally open to a sexual relationship with either gender and I'm NOT. I strongly prefer male attention and for all intents and purposes have lived as a heterosexual for decades and I decided to TALK on the Internet about not really being straight for POLITICAL reasons, thus spending stupid amounts of time trying to figure out what language made sense to ME for my purposes.
So you know I absolutely don't care one teensy tiny itty bitty bit if YOU (whomever you are) feel compelled to spend hours and hours and hours over multiple years figuring out what language and concepts and blah blah blah make you feel like that fits you.
I've written a few pieces about gender presentation, such as:
There may be others. This is not intended to be comprehensive. If you are DYING to know what I think, I recommend you read the ENTIRE site and other sites by me linked from here.
I'm a cis woman who wears no makeup and mostly wears men's T-shirts and sweatpants for medical reasons and reasons of poverty and because I object to the Sluts R Us women's clothing industry so much that I want to start my own clothing line.
Filed under MEDICAL because the above linked discussion is just another piece of evidence SOME people NEED HRT for MEDICAL reasons and like I so don't care about the other stuff.
You do you and be happy -- as long as you aren't a sadistic monster who can only be happy by ruining the lives of other people, of course. But if you're idea of wild rebelliousness is WEARING MAKEUP, I for one so do NOT care.
