I am on record elsewhere with my opinion that I'm not really qualified to give informed opinions on best practices for gender and sports rules blah blah blah.

This is absolutely not being posted to support nor decry this new policy. People looking for a reason to have a hissy: Get off my lawn.

It's being posted because (as quoted on the Essentials page):

I wish someone would start gathering medical data on this population and develop medical testing for determining who needs HRT for medical reasons.

Haters gonna hate. Good luck getting anyone to care about trans rights.

If their genetic testing is any good, this may not go where they imagine it will. They may discover that XX and XY aren't the only results they are getting.

I may left-handedly get my wish, not from people wanting to figure out who needs HRT but from people wanting to gatekeep out "trans" individuals from "women's sports" in a world which currently has very limited hard data on such topics.
