Just A Thought

Menopause increases the risk of UTIs because declining estrogen changes the tissue and bacteria of the vagina and urinary tract, making it easier for harmful bacteria to grow. In older women, those infections are also more likely to spread to the bloodstream, causing sepsis, organ failure and death.
So in other words estrogen has immune functions.
And my hypothesis is that this a primary reason people would put themselves through absolute hell socially dealing with people hating on them for identifying as the opposite sex: If they have a sex hormone syndrome and they aren't getting the hormones they need to stay healthy, it's likely making them sick and literally killing them, albeit probably slowly while people around them call them Drama Queens for saying "It's KILLING me!"
I have a mild form of a more serious genetic disorder and frequently told doctors "I need a higher dose or a longer course or a stronger drug." and on my third trip to the ER for the same infection some asshole MD would have a BRILLIANT idea and decide "She needs a higher dose or longer course or stronger drug." while everyone acted like I was a hypochondriac and whiny bitch.
FYI: Under treating infection like that so you expose bacteria to medicine but not enough to kill it actively breeds antibiotic resistant infections.
So if your drama queen whiny brat making shit up about not FEELING like their AGAB is low grade chronically ill and suffers myriad mystery ailments, maybe they ACTUALLY have a REAL problem and MAYBE it involves hormones AKA their immune system.
