Actual Adults

Historically, we had this idea that men are made, not born. I've talked about this a bit before on this site.

Real men had to prove themselves in some fashion, such as in a hunt to put essential food on the table or on the field of battle.

Now we have money and grocery stores and war is something that happens at a different scale, not among our houses in our village.

In the modern world, real men are often business men. Men who tested their mettle by making something happen, like Amazon.

I think the definition society has always been going for is this: Real men can be trusted with the welfare of others. Real men make hard choices that puts the hardship on themselves not others.

Real men protect society and uphold it on their shoulders.

Real women do too. We just do so via different tasks usually and we have become confused of late because heteronormative culture plus unprecedented affluence has warped that concept.

The height of womanhood is now seen as some married well bimbo who looks good on some man's arm rather than the woman who stood beside him and helped him build his empire, like Alice Walton, widow of Sam Walton, founder of Walmart and Sam's Club.

The entire world tells us "women" look like twenty five year old models with professionally done make-up and we don't all look like that, no.

And we are struggling with ideas like "Real women should get married and have kids and put babies first, not build their own empire."

Let me rephrase my above definition of real men:

Real adults can be trusted with the welfare of others. Real adults make hard choices that puts the hardship on themselves not others.

A full-time mom parent can fit that definition.

So can a successful business person regardless of gender.

I wish the world would focus on promoting the idea that the most important thing is that you grow the fuck up if you want to be a valued member of society, regardless of what bits you have between your legs or what label your sexual orientation might fall under.

We seem to have largely stopped doing that at some point.

This idea has been rattling around in my head for some time and finally gelled because I was thinking that Donald Trump is not a real man. 

His father was a real man and Donald has no idea how to live down the fact that daddy was a captain of industry who cut Donald's nuts off and denied him any option of becoming a man at the tender age of eight by which time daddy had made Donald a millionaire already.

My guess: This is why he rigged all three presidential elections he ran in -- because cosplaying President is critical to his desperate desire to have public evidence he's a Real Man.

Reality: He's emotionally a castrata whose voice will never change playing with a loaded gun because Daddy cut his nuts off and a loaded gun is a metaphor for still having a penis that works.

To try to shut up all the other boys who still have their nuts.

Donald Trump is a selfish child who never grew up and he is not fit to serve this country as President. 

And he knows it. He tampered with the election every time he ran because otherwise he would have no hope of being elected.

America is apparently too dickless itself to stop his shit. But perhaps it will help one or two people in the LGBTQ community who randomly trip across this post for some damn reason.
