Yes, let's overcomplicate the eff out of this and then be scared, very scared.

I should fully read this hot mess sometime:

Based on existing patents from the worlds largest producer of diosgenin derived steroids, following the fermentation process, progesterone is produced using a newer copper catalytic oxydation degredation. With some steps taking place as low as minus twenty degrees Celsius.

I kept some of the typos, spelled out the temp because I can't copy paste from Reddit.

FYI, cholesterol is a precursor for both estrogen and testosterone. It is THE precursor for progesterone and I'm pretty sure a cholesterol rich food plus the right enzyme rich food will get you to progesterone.

There's two more steps to get all the way to estrogen or testosterone. Multiple kinds of cells in the body produce estrogen and I'm guessing if you dump a bunch of progesterone into the body, it makes it easier for the body to derive estrogen (or testosterone) because you've reduced a three step process involving production of specialized chemicals to a two step process.

So the thing is now figuring out how to prompt the body to take those next two steps.

Found via this shit show of a discussion where everyone is screaming at the guy it's extremely dangerous and cannot be done:

Funny, normal healthy humans do it every single day via EATING FOOD and digesting it. The only question I have is: How do you hack the process for people with a physiological disconnect somewhere causing a sex hormone syndrome?

If you have ovaries but NEED more testosterone or have testes but NEED more estrogen because of some biological quirk somewhere, how do you nudge the body into making more of one and less of the other KNOWING multiple tissues produce estrogen, not just the ovaries, and those hormones come from the FOOD you eat as the basic building blocks for all chemical processes?

Note to self: Look up what all tissues produce testosterone AND read up on the next step after progesterone.

The first two steps in the production of both estrogen and testosterone are IDENTICAL. I need to solve for step two and then figure out what mechanism differentiates the next product into distinct and gender "opposite" hormones.
