Probable healing crisis after starting progesterone

Progesterone Side Effects?

Interesting because eighteen months on estrogen but newly on progesterone and it sounds like a healing crisis. 

Question for me: Why? What role does progesterone play in the immune system?

My hypothesis is that trans people have a sex hormone syndrome and it causes a compromised immune system so you should EXPECT to see a healing crisis immediately or shortly after starting HRT.

Healing crisis is not a commonly used phrase but if you have heard of drug withdrawal, you are familiar with the concept: You feel worse because you are getting better.

I have a long, long history of ear infections going back to at least age three. I went on birth control pills at age seventeen and for months after starting birth control pills, I had huge, painful carbuncles in my ears swelling them shut and causing neck pain until it drained. This was most likely long-standing unresolved infection in my ears getting cleared out more thoroughly because I have a genetic disorder and permanently compromised immune system.

I recommend starting a health journal to begin figuring out for yourself what is really going on.

That same health site has lists of antivirals and other emergency care. Cinnamon is a blood thinner if the concern is blood clots.

I ate cinnamon rolls like crazy after getting my COVID vaccine. COVID and the vaccine cause blood issues.

If it's COVID, zinc helps mitigate iron loving bugs that screw up blood. It's part of how I got through COVID: eating zinc rich foods.
