One comment is aggressively dismissive of the value of such studies and expresses concerns about such studies being a form of gatekeeping. I agree with the assertion that it's your body, do what you want with it, but trans people are interested in understanding stuff like this and it has potential value for helping people sort out what works for them.

There's also discussion about the impact of HRT on the brain and speculation that giving cis gendered people HRT could reshape the brain similarly.

Maybe. Maybe not.

If being trans is a medical condition and there's some kind of disconnect somewhere in the physiology, HRT may have impacts on trans biology it wouldn't necessarily have on cis biology.
